What Area Converter does

The calculator converts through square meters using fixed factors, including exactly 0.09290304 square meters per square foot and 4,046.8564224 square meters per acre. This is a unit conversion, not a measurement or lookup: the result is determined only by the number and units supplied in the browser.

Available units are square millimeters, square centimeters, square meters, hectares, square kilometers, square inches, square feet, square yards, acres, and square miles.
A distinction that matters
Area factors are squared relative to length factors. One meter equals about 3.28 feet, but one square meter equals about 10.76 square feet; applying the linear factor would be wrong.

Privacy and limitations
Area Converter performs its arithmetic locally. PagesTools does not receive the entered value or selected units.
The tool does not calculate area from shape dimensions, survey boundaries, map coordinates, or irregular geometry. Results use floating-point arithmetic and display up to 14 significant digits, so retain only meaningful measurement precision.
