What BMP to PDF does
BMP to PDF decodes up to twenty valid bitmap files and embeds one normalized image per PDF page. Page orientation follows the image shape, while proportional fitting keeps the entire bitmap within a 24-point margin.
BMP files are often large because their compression is limited or absent. The generated PDF contains normalized PNG image data rather than an untouched BMP stream, so size changes depend on the pixel content.
How to use BMP to PDF
- Select up to twenty BMP files no larger than 20 MB each.
- Review the file sequence that will determine PDF page order.
- Create the PDF, verify image orientation and legibility, and download it.
Important details
Bitmap pixels are normalized
The browser decodes BMP pixels to a canvas and the PDF embeds a PNG representation. BMP headers, palettes, color profiles, and file metadata are not copied as original structures.
Page fit preserves proportions
The image is centered and scaled to fit the selected A4 orientation without cropping. It may be enlarged or reduced depending on its pixel dimensions and aspect ratio.
Practical uses
- Turn legacy bitmap scans into an easier-to-share PDF packet.
- Combine exported BMP diagrams in a single review file.
- Prepare several simple bitmap pages for printing from a PDF reader.
Privacy and limitations
All BMP decoding and PDF creation happen on your device. PagesTools does not upload the selected bitmaps.
The converter accepts up to twenty BMP files of 20 MB each, subject to image dimension and 100-page limits. It does not OCR text, preserve BMP metadata or palette structures, or offer custom paper sizes and margins.
