What Text to PDF does
Text to PDF places plain text on 612 by 792-point letter pages with 48-point margins. It wraps words to the printable width, splits unusually long words when needed, and adds pages until the text is complete.
The current PDF uses an embedded standard Helvetica font and supports WinAnsi-compatible characters. It is intended for straightforward text, not rich documents with headings, images, tables, links, or custom typefaces.
How to use Text to PDF
- Type or paste up to 100,000 characters of supported plain text.
- Choose a font size from 8 to 48 points.
- Create the PDF, inspect wrapping and page breaks, and download the file.
Important details
Automatic wrapping uses a fixed page design
Text is laid out with Helvetica on US letter pages and consistent margins. Blank input lines are preserved as vertical spacing, while formatting from a copied document is not retained.
Character support is deliberately bounded
The standard embedded font accepts tabs, line breaks, printable ASCII, and WinAnsi characters through U+00FF. Other scripts and many symbols are rejected rather than replaced with unreadable boxes.

Privacy and limitations
The text is laid out and the PDF is assembled locally in your browser. PagesTools does not receive the entered content.
Text is limited to 100,000 characters and output to 100 pages. The standard font cannot encode most non-Latin scripts, and the tool does not support bold ranges, images, headers, page numbers, hyperlinks, tables, or selectable page sizes.
