What Video to GIF Converter does
Video to GIF converts at most the first 30 seconds of one verified MP4-family file. You can choose 8, 12, or 15 frames per second and a maximum width of 480, 640, or 800 pixels; smaller inputs are not enlarged.
FFmpeg preserves aspect ratio, generates a 128-color palette, applies dithering, strips metadata, removes audio, and sets the GIF to loop continuously. The palette improves typical GIF output but cannot reproduce full video color depth.

Important details
Only the opening 30 seconds are converted
The server applies a hard 30-second duration cap beginning at the start of the uploaded video. There are no trim-start or end-time controls in this converter.
GIF has strict color and audio limits
The output uses a generated palette of up to 128 colors with Sierra dithering and contains no audio. Gradients and photographic motion can show banding, noise, or large file sizes compared with video.

Privacy and limitations
The video is uploaded to PagesTools for temporary FFmpeg processing. Input and generated working files are deleted when the response completes, fails, or is cancelled, and metadata is removed from the GIF output.
Input is limited to one verified MP4 or M4V up to 25 MB, the first 30 seconds, 50 MB output, and 55 seconds of processing. There is no trim offset, audio, full-color video fidelity, custom frame rate, cropping, or width above 800 pixels.
