What Meme Generator does
Meme Generator draws up to two captions over a selected raster image. Text is converted to uppercase, centered, filled white, and outlined in black using an Impact-style font stack for strong contrast.
Each caption is kept to one line and reduced from the chosen size when necessary to fit the image width. The result is a static PNG, even when the source format can contain animation.
How to use Meme Generator
- Select one PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, WebP, or AVIF image up to 20 MB.
- Enter a top caption, a bottom caption, or both, then choose the starting font size.
- Generate the meme, inspect caption placement, and download the PNG.
Important details
Captions are fitted as single lines
The renderer shrinks a long caption toward an 18-pixel minimum and limits each field to the first 240 characters. Shorter wording remains easier to read on phones and small images.
The download is a flattened PNG
Captions become part of the image pixels. They cannot be selected or edited after download, and animated source frames are not preserved in the static output.

Privacy and limitations
The source image and caption text remain in the browser while the PNG is rendered. PagesTools does not upload them for generation.
The tool offers fixed caption styling and top or bottom placement only. It does not preserve animation, provide movable text boxes, wrap captions onto multiple designed lines, or keep editable layers.
