What HEIC to JPG does
HEIC to JPG loads a browser-side HEIF decoder after you select a file, converts one decoded image, and exports it as JPEG. This is useful for photos transferred from devices that save high-efficiency image containers by default.
HEIC containers can hold multiple images, depth data, or device-specific metadata. This converter uses the first image returned by the decoder and creates a flattened raster JPEG rather than copying those additional structures.
How to use HEIC to JPG
- Choose one verified HEIC or HEIF file up to 20 MB.
- Select the JPEG quality and a background color for any transparent decoded areas.
- Convert the photo and download the JPG, or follow the browser guidance if decoding fails.
Important details
A browser decoder performs the conversion
The HEIF decoding library is loaded only after interaction. Some valid device variants can still be unsupported or unstable, in which case the tool recommends trying a current Chrome, Edge, or Safari browser.
Container extras are not exported
The JPEG contains the decoded visible image. Additional HEIC images, depth maps, editing instructions, and format-specific metadata are not reproduced as separate content.

One HEIC or HEIF file up to 20 MB is accepted, subject to canvas limits. Decoder support varies by file and browser; only one decoded image is exported, and metadata, depth information, motion, and other container features are not preserved.
