Open the result in a second PDF reader and inspect page count, page order, fonts, forms, links, searchability, and print layout. OCR and reconstructed layouts should be proofread against the source.

PDF structure varies widely. Scans, uncommon fonts, malformed files, encryption, signatures, forms, annotations, layers, and complex page graphics may limit extraction or editing, and visual conversion does not automatically create accurate editable document structure.
